At 5 o'clock this morning Jacob Lutz died at his home in the Valley. Rheumatism and kidney troubles were the cause of his death. He was born in Whittenberg (sic) Germany 40 years ago and served his full time in the army there. Ten years ago he became a citizen of Crawfordsville. He leaves a wife and three sons. The funeral services will be conducted at the house tomorrow at 10 o'clock by Rev. Switzer. Interment at Oak Hill.

Jacob Lutz, an old citizen of this city died at his home in the valley at half past five this morning of dropsy. The funeral will occur tomorrow at 10 o’clock.
